A groundbreaking platform that merges AI with Web3 technology has raised $4.5 million in seed funding, as revealed in a statement on January 10 to CryptoSlate.

This funding round was oversubscribed and included contributions from significant investors such as Tangent, Big Brain Holdings, Kosmos Ventures, Tagus Capital, and Bodhi Ventures, along with support from notable angel investors like Yan Liberman from Delphi Ventures.

What is Oh?

Oh is set to transform the way creators generate content, interact with audiences, and earn profits in the Web3 landscape by incorporating decentralization, user empowerment, and advanced AI technologies.

Nic Young, co-founder and CEO of Oh, explained that the platform aims to revolutionize the creator economy by blending the personalized capabilities of AI with the decentralized and censorship-resistant advantages of Web3. He pointed out that this synergy provides a groundbreaking model for creators and their followers.

He stated:

โ€œThe convergence of AI and Web3 presents a once-in-a-lifetime chance to revolutionize the creator economy. By leveraging AIโ€™s capacity for content generation and personalization, alongside the community-building opportunities provided by the decentralization and censorship resistance unique to Web3, traditional paradigms cannot compete.โ€

Ohchats and superModels

At the heart of Ohโ€™s ecosystem lies OhChat, an AI-driven platform with nearly 100,000 users across 174 countries. This platform enables users to engage with AI-generated characters, featuring a range of digital personas and virtual representations of real people.

Noteworthy figures like Carmen Electra and Kaili Thorne are already utilizing the platform to connect with millions of fans through AI-enhanced digital twins. Following this progress, Oh plans to introduce โ€œsuperModelsโ€ โ€” next-generation autonomous AI digital creators.

These superModels will offer advanced features beyond simple interactions, such as establishing a social media presence, recalling user engagements, and evolving their personalities over time.

Owners of superModels will have the opportunity to monetize these digital entities, launch revenue-linked tokens, and engage in permissionless buybacks, enabling a shared financial growth avenue for creators and their communities.

Token launch

Ohโ€™s roadmap sets forth plans to roll out token capabilities in the first quarter of this year to bolster its ecosystem.

These tokens will be developed on the Solana blockchain, providing staking benefits and facilitating tokenized ownership of superModels. Users will also have the chance to tokenize their own creations, paving the way for collaborative monetization and shared ownership opportunities.
