In a dramatic showdown, Brussels has flat-out REJECTED Russia’s desperate bid to lift EU restrictions on the agricultural titan Rosselkhozbank! That’s right – the European Commission has made it crystal clear: NO SANCTIONS RELIEF until every last Russian soldier HIGH-TAILS IT OUT of Ukraine!
Just yesterday, as if on cue, the U.S. announced a ceasefire with Russia and Ukraine that seems more of a pipe dream than reality, covering energy infrastructure and the MUCH-COVETED Black Sea. But wait! The Kremlin jumped in, claiming that lifting sanctions, including the ones crippling their agricultural bank, is the PRICE OF PEACE. Spoiler alert: Brussels ain’t buying it!

Anitta Hipper, the tough-talking spokesperson for foreign affairs at the European Commission, made it loud and clear: “NO SANCTIONS RELIEF until there’s an unconditional withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine!” That’s right, folks, the EU is CRANKING UP the pressure, determined to thwart Putin’s war machine at all costs!
Despite the Kremlin’s whining about sanctions impacting food exports, Brussels has shot back! “EU sanctions ARE NOT targeting agricultural trade!” Hipper emphasized that global food security is a priority, leaving the hungry mouths out there with hope!
President Zelenskyy SLAPS BACK: "Kremlin’s Lies Exposed!"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on fire, declaring that Western sanctions must STAY PUT until Russia CALLS IT QUITS! He’s furious, insisting that the maritime ceasefire linked to sanctions relief is a SETUP designed by the Kremlin to twist the truth. Zelenskyy slammed Moscow’s narrative: “They’re trying to DECEIVE our mediators and the entire world!”
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has the gall to claim that all conditions have been met—except those on the Russian side. Talk about a DOUBLE GAME! After backing out of the Black Sea deal last year, they’re now trying to spin the narrative in their favor.
